When and why should you get your fabric protected?

Camelot Cleaners offers Scotchgard, a post-cleaning fabric protector that coats the fibers of fabric to create a barrier that will help deter staining and help prolong the life of your carpet.

Scotchgard can be especially helpful in high traffic areas, spill prone areas, and homes with children or pets. We apply the fabric protector immediately after cleaning with our injection sprayer. Once the carpet dries, the protector will adhere to the carpet and make spills much easier to clean. Water and water like substances will pool on the coating, and will be able to be blotted away with a paper towel rather than soaking into the fibers and causing possible staining. The protector typically lasts between 6 months and a year depending on how much traffic the treated area gets, and will prolong the life of your fabric.

We can apply fabric protector to carpets and upholstery after cleaning. This additional service costs 20% of the rooms value.

Fabric protector is not for everyone. Spare rooms and extra furniture may not need it, while adding the service to your living room, entry and halls may be beneficial in keeping your carpet and upholstery looking great for years to come!
